How to play
Baccarat (pronounced bah-ca-rah) is simple to master and easy to play but still regarded as the most glamorous, action filled and sophisticated game. Contrary to what many people may think, but Baccarat is simple to learn.
You need not learn any special strategy or count cards or have difficult betting system to play Baccarat.
Two hands are dealt in Baccarat. One hand is called banker and the other is called player. The player’s objective is to get a hand that is closer to 9 in value than the banker’s. Each hand initially receives two cards. The rank of the card is of sale importance. Two through nine are counted at their number value.
An Ace counts as 1, 2 are counted as 2 and 9 as 9. Ten and the picture cards are counted as 10 but since we consider only last digit of the total combination that is why 10’s and a picture cards value remains as zero. Therefore, 9 stands invincible with the highest value. But if the total of the hand is greater than 10, then 10 is subtracted from the total (or you can just count the last digit only). (Thus the value of the hand is always between 0 and 9). For example if the player’s cards total is 14 then 10 is subtracted and the value of the hand becomes 4.
Bets are placed before any of the cards are dealt. You can be on the player hand, banker hand or a tie. You can make these bets by placing your chip in the appropriate space in front of you. To start a hand both player and banker are dealt 2 card faces down and the next move depends on the cards in the hands. If the player/banker has a 2-card total of 8/9 the game is over and therefore whoever has (Player or Banker) highest value wins the game and will be paid in a ratio of 1:1. If neither the player nor the banker has a natural 8 or 9 (total sum of first two cards) then the player acts first according to the rule and follows.
In case of a TIE, i.e. when the player’s total value and the banker’s total value becomes same, it is called TIE. In this case then the hand is dealt again. As well as one can bet on TIE box too. When there is a TIE you will be paid in the ratio of 1:8.
Casino does not take any commission, but when BANKER wins on 6 (six points) you will be paid 50% of the bet only.
Lastly, Casino has one more option on this game that is, one can bet on boxes written 1 to 9 on BANKER’S side and PLAYER’S side. One can guess what will be the total combination on the first two cards. For instance, if you think the total combination of first two cards at the BANKER’S side will be five, and then bet on both written five on the BANKER’S side. If your guess comes true you will be paid in the ratio of 1:8.
PLAYER’S side: One can guess what will be the total combination on first two cards. For instance, if you think the total combination of first two cards at the BANKER’S side will be five then bet on box written five on the BANKER’S side. If you guess comes true you will be paid in the ratio of 1:8.
